Yacht Paint Booth: Our Confirmed Scope and Its Limits

Yacht Paint Booth

What usually sinks a technical bid in the marine sector is not price. It is the supplier who answers yes to every line in the tender, and then turns out at delivery to have supplied half of it for the first time.

So we start from the limit rather than the promise. A yacht paint booth is inside our confirmed scope. Other marine workshop equipment is not, and we do not list it.

The confirmed scope, written plainly

What we supply to this sector: paint booths for ship and yacht products, built to order. That is the scope as published on our aerospace, marine and rail industry page, and we do not extend it.

  • In scope — a spray chamber designed around a yacht or boat hull, or around its components
  • In scope — a separate preparation room ahead of the booth with its own extraction requirements
  • Out of scope — marine lifting and handling equipment and similar, because it is not among what we supply

This is not marketing modesty. Buyers here compare technical submissions, and a submission claiming more than the supplier holds fails in technical review rather than in price negotiation.

Why it is always built to order

A hull exceeds the length, width and height of any stock model. The chamber is designed around the hull, and the reverse attempt — adapting an existing model — ends with a chamber the hull will not enter or one the ventilation cannot serve.

The range that takes a hull

The published range in this family extends to 24,000 mm long, 20,000 mm wide and 6000 mm high, with air capacity reaching 190,000 m³/h and three-stage bag and high-efficiency filtration at ≥98%.

Small craft sit at the lower end of that range and large hulls at the upper end. The final figure comes from your measurement rather than from a category.

Ventilation and fire at volume

Ventilation and fire requirements for large spray chambers are stricter than for an automotive booth, and paint, solvent and stripping waste falls under the applicable environmental rules. We meet the regulatory requirements applicable to each project, and the certificates and approvals required are supplied on request.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly do you offer the marine sector?

Paint booths for ship and yacht products, built to order. That is our confirmed capability in this sector and we do not go beyond it; other marine workshop equipment is not listed because it is unconfirmed.

Will an automotive booth serve boat refinishing?

The principle is the same — a controlled air and heat environment — but size and hull entry differ completely. The automotive internal cabin is 6900×4000×2650 mm and most hulls exceed it, so the build is to order.

Do I need a separate preparation room?

If you strip old coating and inspect before spraying, then largely yes. Those stages carry extraction requirements different from spraying, and combining them in one volume shortchanges one of them.

How long does a chamber this size take?

Design, manufacture and delivery time is set once the internal size and configuration are fixed, because it follows chamber volume, heating system and the filtration required. We give the duration with the technical offer rather than before it.
