Furniture Booth Sizing: Where the Calculation Starts

Furniture Booth Sizing

When a booth is requested for a car workshop the size is already known: the INTECH internal cabin at 6,900 × 4,000 × 2,650 mm, which is the automotive size. A furniture plant has no standard envelope at all.

That is why furniture booth sizing starts from the largest piece on the line rather than from an off-the-shelf model. The sector page states it directly: the chamber is built around the largest part and how that part is hung or laid.

Why a standard envelope does not survive here

A door, a panel, a table and a kitchen front pass down the same line at completely different sizes, within a single day. A chamber that takes the largest of them takes everything below it; the reverse is not true. So the calculation starts at the upper limit rather than the average.

The delivered range the size sits inside

What is added to the size of the part

Internal size is not the dimensions of the part. The family page describes the method: a custom booth starts with a site survey, then internal size is fixed from the dimensions of the part plus the technician’s working space around it, and then the configuration — extraction direction, heating system, filtration stages and doors — is signed off before manufacture.

Frequently asked questions

Do I send the size of every product in the catalogue?

The largest piece is enough, together with how it is loaded. If the line carries one odd-sized item produced once a year, state it explicitly so it can be decided whether it enters the chamber or is handled another way.

What if the parts grow larger in two years?

State the expected growth alongside the current size, so the chamber is built around what is coming rather than what is here. Widening a delivered chamber is harder than building it wider from the start.

Are the doors sized from the part as well?

Doors are a configuration item signed off before manufacture, alongside extraction direction and heating system, because the part has to enter and leave rather than merely fit.

What is the largest booth you can build?

The published build range reaches 24,000 mm long, 20,000 mm wide and 6,000 mm high, with air capacity up to 190,000 m³/h. The final size is set by your line, not by the range.
