Crane and Loader Coating Booth: The Boom Sets the Height

Crane and Loader Coating Booth

Heavy plant workshops share one surprise at installation: the machine goes into the chamber, and then the boom cannot be raised far enough to coat what sits beneath it.

A crane and loader coating booth is measured with the machine in its working position rather than its transport position, and that makes height the governing figure.

Height in the working position

A folded boom gives one number; a boom raised enough to reach underneath gives a much higher one. The required figure is the second, if the work includes what sits below the boom.

The delivered range extends to 6000 mm high, 24,000 mm long and 20,000 mm wide, so it takes heavy plant — and the final figure comes from measuring yours in its working position.

The door follows the largest section

The main door on large builds reaches 14,200×5,000 mm under powered operation, because an opening that size is not hand-operated on a daily cycle.

It is measured on the largest section that actually enters — which on heavy plant is usually wider than the body itself because of side-mounted fittings.

Complex surfaces and flow distribution

Heavy plant is not a box: hydraulic cylinders, joints and shadowed regions beneath the body. Extraction running one way leaves areas the flow does not reach as it reaches others.

So extraction direction — downdraft or side — is set by the work and the machine, and air capacity is calculated on final chamber volume within a published range of 18,000 to 190,000 m³/h.

Frequently asked questions

Do I measure the machine folded or in working position?

In the position it will be coated in. If you coat beneath the boom, measure with the boom raised — that is the figure setting internal height.

What is the largest machine you can take?

The published range extends to 24,000 mm long, 20,000 mm wide and 6000 mm high. Send the dimensions of your largest machine in working position so size is built on it.

Do you supply lifts for this plant?

What we actually supply to this sector is paint booths. Lifting equipment is supplied from the vehicle lifts and lifting equipment family and configured by capacity and size to the machine and hall height.

How many cycles a day can it run?

Set by cycle time and extraction capacity together. Heavy plant is a large metal mass absorbing heat slowly, so its time to cure temperature is longer than a light part of the same surface area.
