The line between a stock model and a booth designed to order is not a judgement call. It is a single published figure with three dimensions compared against it.
The question of when to leave the 6900 size is answered by measuring the part against the INTECH internal cabin of 6900×4000×2650 mm: one dimension exceeding it is enough to move the project into built-to-order territory.
The dimension that crosses first is usually not length
A length of 6900 mm takes passenger cars and SUVs with room to spare. What crosses first in most cases is the 2650 mm height — because any body built above the chassis, or any roof-mounted fitting, approaches or passes it while the length stays well inside the limit.
The comparison as it is run
| Dimension | INTECH cabin | Built-to-order range |
|---|---|---|
| Length | 6900 mm | 3,000 – 24,000 mm |
| Width | 4000 mm | 3,000 – 20,000 mm |
| Height | 2650 mm | 2650 – 6000 mm |
And leaving the size is not always upward
The built-to-order range starts at 3000 mm in all three dimensions, which means it covers what is smaller than the automotive footprint as well — powder coating curing cabins, for instance, start at a delivered 3000×3000×3000 mm. Leaving the stock size can therefore mean going down as readily as up.
Frequently asked questions
Is exceeding one dimension enough?
Yes. A chamber is built on all three dimensions together, so exceeding one means the part does not enter. That is why all three are requested rather than length alone.
What should be sent to settle this?
Send length, width and height of the largest part or vehicle to be coated, with height measured to the highest fixed point on it. Add the space available at your site and the electrical supply capacity.
What changes in the booth once the size is left?
Internal size, cabin height, extraction direction, heating system and filtration stages — all set by the part being coated and the nature of the industry, rather than by an off-the-shelf model.
Are custom booths genuinely delivered, or offered in theory?
The published range is measured on delivered work: cabins for industrial parts, furniture and timber, and aircraft structures, plus powder curing ovens and industrial baking ovens.

What to do next
Send the dimensions of the largest part to be coated, your site area and the supply capacity available, and we will come back with an internal size and a configuration built on it. Talk to a specialist. The published range sits on the paint booth family page.
