Vehicle workshop fit-out projects, recorded scope by scope

An execution record, not a brochure

Eight real projects we’re proud of, from fuel stations to major dealer workshops: the equipment, the challenges and the numbers, exactly as they happened on site — no polish, no exaggeration.

Where our experience comes from

Before we carried this name, we were already building these projects

Before our experience carried the name Industrial Technologies, it was already being built on site — for more than 12 years, across fuel stations and vehicle workshops all over the Kingdom. Those years shaped the way we still work today: how we survey a site, how we size a system, and how we coordinate with a consultant and a contractor so everything lands on time.

That is the story the eight cards below tell — eight real situations, and what each one taught us.

Geographic reach

Where this work was delivered, and over what span

More than 80 paint booths, over more than 12 years, have reached 23 towns and governorates in 9 of the Kingdom’s 13 regions — from Qurayyat, Rafha and Arar in the north, to Sabya, Ad-Darb and Bani Malik in the south, and from Jubail and Al-Ahsa in the east to Yanbu and Makkah in the west.

What never changes, wherever we go

Wherever we work, three things get checked first: is the floor ready and level, is the power supply enough, and has the ducting route been agreed with the contractor before the booth arrives. Those three are the difference between a one-day installation and weeks of delay.

Selected projects

Eight projects from our own field experience

Each project has its own equipment, its own constraint, and its own way we solved it.

01 — Auto dealers

Service centres of a major vehicle dealer — seven sites across several cities

Integrated service centres with oil and air networks covering the whole shop

Project scope — what was supplied and installed
AreaLine items
LiftingService lifts, transmission jacks, trolley jack, engine stand
FinishingPaint booth
Quick serviceQuick-service lifts, oil change units
Compressed airAir compressor, air hose reels
Measurement and testingElectronic wheel scale with its lift, injector cleaning units
ToolingTool cabinets, work benches, spring and strut press, full tool sets

The constraint

The project was not a list of equipment to supply; it was seven shops brought to one operating standard. The hardest element was the oil distribution network: carrying oil from storage to every outlet in the shop across a long run, coordinated with the lubricant supplier and the works contractor at the same time.

How we handled it

Each shop was surveyed on its own footprint rather than on an average, and requirements were set in direct coordination with the maintenance department and its management. Air, electrical, oil and water points were then fixed with the contractor before the floors were poured, because moving one air point after the pour costs many times what fixing it on the drawing does.

  • SectorAuto dealers
  • Delivery scopeSeven sites, two of them truck facilities
  • Project valueMore than SAR 8 million

We still apply the same approach today whenever a project spans more than one site at once.

02 — Aviation ground support

Ground support services facility at an international airport in Riyadh

Heavy vehicle shop at 8 tonnes per column and dried compressed air

Project scope — what was supplied and installed
AreaLine items
Heavy liftingMobile column lifts rated at 8 tonnes per column
LiftingTwo-post lifts, large scissor lift, high-capacity lifts to advanced specification
FinishingPaint booth
EnginesLarge diesel engine overhaul room
TyresTyre equipment sized for large-format wheels
Compressed airScrew compressor system covering the whole shop, with air drying, moisture removal and filtration
LubricationOil pump distribution across the entire shop
ToolingComplete tool and equipment sets

The constraint

Movement inside the site is among the most restricted of any working environment: no unit and no crew moves without complete advance coordination. On top of that, the safety standards enforced on site are among the most demanding encountered, and they admit no exception.

How we handled it

Coordination with the works contractor preceded every movement on site rather than running alongside it. The site was prepared on the basis of satisfying the full standard first, and equipment was then introduced in a sequence that respected the movement restrictions and the safety conditions, not in the sequence in which it was delivered.

This is exactly what we do best: working inside sensitive sites, to the highest safety standards, without anything grinding to a halt.

03 — Car rental

Integrated service workshop for a major car rental company — Jeddah

A fleet shop from lifting to refinishing inside a tight delivery window

Project scope — what was supplied and installed
AreaLine items
LiftingTwo-post and four-post lifts
FinishingVehicle paint booths
Tyres and lubricationTyre service equipment and oil change equipment
Technical baysBody repair, mechanical and electrical equipment and fit-out

The constraint

A fleet workshop is measured by the number of vehicles that leave it in a day, not by the number of machines standing in it. The constraint was correct equipment distribution across the available area and preparation of the shop drawings with the consultant and the contractor, while securing every item within a short period.

How we handled it

Requirements were reviewed from the opening of the project rather than at the point of supply, and availability of every line item was verified before any delivery date was committed. Whatever was not available was raised as a special order from outside the Kingdom within that same schedule.

  • SectorCar rental
  • Delivery scopeOne integrated workshop
  • Project valueApproximately SAR 1.5 million — equipment

It is the same experience we lean on whenever a project comes with a tight schedule and a tight supply plan.

04 — Fuel stations

Self-service units across more than 600 fuel stations

500 air and water units delivered within 90 days

Project scope — what was supplied and installed
AreaLine items
Geographic scopeMore than 600 fuel stations across the Kingdom
CounterpartiesMajor fuel station chains in several regions
Equipment500 self-service air and water units

The constraint

The constraint here was not technical but logistical: securing a large quantity of units within 90 days, for a network of dispersed sites across the Kingdom, and for several counterparties at once.

How we handled it

Supply was managed in tranches rather than as a single shipment, and quantities were landed into the client’s own warehouses instead of being shipped site by site. That kept the supply line continuous, and no region stopped installing while waiting for the next batch.

  • SectorFuel stations
  • Delivery scopeMore than 600 sites
  • Project valueSAR 3 million

Managing supply in tranches is what keeps a large-scale rollout moving — it is how we still handle programmes like this one.

05 — Fuel stations

Service facilities at a major fuel station in the Eastern Province

Oil change, washing and tyre service on one forecourt

Project scope — what was supplied and installed
AreaLine items and specification
WashingHigh-pressure water pumps at 200 bar, 380 V supply
Compressed airItalian-made air hose reels
LubricationOil hose reels fitted with dispensing guns
Waste oilUsed oil collection tanks, installed within the oil change pits

The constraint

The technical specification had been approved by the consultant, so substituting a line item with the nearest available alternative was not acceptable. The equipment also had to arrive on its fixed date, in step with the contractors’ progress on site.

How we handled it

Availability of every item was confirmed before commitment, and technically equivalent alternatives — not cheaper ones — were identified where stock was short, with expedited orders raised for anything with no equivalent. Installation was preceded by site visits confirming readiness before commissioning.

  • SectorFuel stations
  • Delivery scopeService facilities within the station
  • Project valueSAR 250,000 per station, equipment and installation included

Matching a consultant-approved specification, to the letter, is a standard we do not bend.

06 — Vehicle washing

Automatic car wash programme across more than 30 sites

From site survey during construction to operator training

Project scope — what was delivered at each stage
StageWhat was carried out
Pre-constructionSite survey and groundwork during the build phase
InfrastructurePrimary electrical and water provision
DeliverySupply, installation and commissioning of the wash system
HandoverOperator training

The constraint

An automatic wash system does not tolerate approximation in its dimensions: either the site matches it or civil works are redone. Two operating conditions sit alongside that and cannot be deferred — continuous water supply, and an electrical feed of adequate capacity.

How we handled it

A site visit produced a written report covering dimensions and the electrical, water and related requirements, before the equipment arrived rather than after it. That report is what turns installation into a single-day operation instead of a sequence of corrections.

  • SectorFuel stations and automotive repair
  • Delivery scopeMore than 30 sites, inside and outside fuel stations
  • Project valueMore than SAR 8 million in total, at approximately SAR 250,000 per site for equipment

A site visit before the equipment arrives is not an extra step for us — it is how a one-day installation stays a one-day installation.

07 — Vehicle inspection

Used-vehicle inspection centre in Riyadh

An inspection line producing a report the end buyer can rely on

Project scope — what was supplied and installed
AreaLine items
LiftingScissor lifts for underbody inspection
WeighingScale lift for verifying vehicle weights
InspectionTechnical inspection equipment and reporting for the end customer

The constraint

Scissor lifts and scale lifts carry precise civil requirements in depth, dimension and floor level. Setting the site out to anything other than those requirements means breaking concrete and repouring after the centre is otherwise finished.

How we handled it

Entry to the site began at the groundwork stage rather than at handover, with coordination running to both the supervising contractor and the executing contractor so that the civil works matched each machine’s requirements before they were built.

  • SectorAutomotive repair
  • Delivery scopeOne inspection centre
  • Project valueSAR 100,000 — equipment

Getting involved from the groundwork stage is what saves a client the cost of fixing things later.

08 — Workshops and industrial facilities

Compressed air systems for workshops and industrial facilities

Sizing the compressor from outlet count, not from the catalogue

Project scope — what was supplied and installed
AreaLine items
SupplyCompressors across types, sizes and capacities
Installation and commissioningSystem installation and commissioning onto the existing network
SelectionSolution determined by the number of air outlets and the equipment in use
SizingType and capacity matched to the actual duty pattern

The constraint

The compressor is the item most often bought at the wrong size in a workshop, because it is chosen by horsepower rather than by actual consumption. The constraint was setting type and capacity from the site’s own demand — the number of outlets and the equipment running at the same time.

How we handled it

A site visit established the usage pattern, the number of air outlets and the equipment connected to them, and type and capacity were then selected against the actual duty. The reference point is the peak hour, not the daily average.

Sizing a system from real consumption, not from a catalogue, is the difference between a compressor that lasts and one that gets replaced within a year.

Delivery method

Seven stages from site survey to handover

These are the seven stages we follow on every fit-out project, from the first site visit to handing over the keys.

01

Site survey

A field visit producing a report on dimensions, floor level, electrical capacity and water source, before any line item is committed.

02

Design and planning

Equipment distributed across the available area and shop drawings prepared to serve work flow rather than machine placement.

03

Equipment and technical selection

Type and capacity set from the site’s measured demand, with technically equivalent alternatives identified where an item is short.

04

Supply chain management

Delivery scheduled in tranches where the programme spans multiple sites, with special orders raised for anything without an equivalent.

05

Consultant and contractor coordination

Electrical, air, oil and water points fixed on the drawing before the floors are poured.

06

Installation and commissioning

Equipment installed and commissioned after site readiness is confirmed, not in parallel with unfinished infrastructure.

07

Training and handover

Operators trained on the machine itself at handover, to the extent agreed in the quotation.

To test the effect of these stages on your own project before requesting a quotation, the return on investment calculator builds its figures from your facility’s own data, and the buyer’s guide sets out what to ask before contracting.

The product families that recur across these projects

Most of the line items in the tables above belong to four families with published pages carrying their models and specifications.

If you are a government or quasi-government body working from a tender document and a bill of quantities, the request path is different: the government procurement request centre receives the documents and issues a reference number for tracking.

You have a fit-out project, and you want people who have delivered one

Send the site area, the type of work and the number of bays, and you will receive an initial layout concept and equipment list before any pricing. If the project is still under construction, now is the right moment to make contact — before the floors are poured.
